THE LITTLE BOY AND THE BEAST - part 2

Two month ago I showed you some sketches of the character finding process for my short film - DER KLEINE UND DAS BIEST.
Today I am very happy to show you the first stills.

Pirate

Instead of the GILRS and RATS project I am working at the PIRATES and RATS film, right now. I am doing the designs, the animation and the backgrounds. It is s little song about a rat that wants to become a pirate, for German children-TV.

I like to study poses by video. This time I looked more detailed at
a YouTube clip. It is made with Flash and a Wacom.

Finding the beast

Artwork from THE LITTLE BOY AND THE BEAST - a six minutes short that Johannes Weiland and I directed at Studio Soi.

First I show you some character drawings I did for the animatic.
Even if they are just rough story-drawings, they helped me to find the characters after the initial design, that was more about the graphic appearance.

Back

The last month I spend working on a short I directed together with Johannes Weiland at Studio Soi. The film is called THE LITTLE BOY AND THE BEAST. In the next days I will show you some artwork. After the project I had a little break with friends and family. Time to relaxe and even start sketching again...

My year started with moving to a new city. Now I live in Berlin.

What a nice suprise.
I just received this huge "Flower for Life" calendar
showing my painting for January.
Last year I took part at a flower-painting-contest.
First time in my life painting flowers and I won the first price.
